A Matter of Balance is an 8-session structured group intervention that strategizes to reduce fear of falling and increase activity levels. Participants learn to view falls and fear of falling as controllable, set realistic goals to increase activity, change their environment to reduce fall risk factors, and exercise to increase strength and balance. This program consists of group discussion; strength, balance, & flexibility exercise during session 3-8, and a Guest Health Care Professional (GHP) visit to demonstrate safe techniques for getting down to the ground and getting up from a fall. This workshop will take place in-person at Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center –Mission Viejo.  Registration is required, register by September 22, 2026.
